To continue to support the industry in ensuring a skilled workforce for the future we are recruiting for an Employer and Learner Engagement Advisor.

The main purpose of the role:

•  To recruit National, Levy and Non-Levy employers to engage in BPIF’s apprenticeship provision
•  To engage with businesses nationally to identify and create training opportunities across a range of BPIF funded and commercial programmes
•  Be active in sourcing suitable applicants for apprenticeship and traineeship vacancies
•  Build relationships with LEP contacts, trade organisations, and other employer organisations to maximise opportunities for partnership working
•  Expand BPIF’s stretch and visibility across the industry and associated industries
•  To fully utilise our CRM system to effectively manage the process and flow of lead generation and vacancies

Main responsibilities:

•  Identify and engage with SME and apprenticeship levy paying employees to generate new apprenticeship opportunities nationally, across a range of apprenticeship standards
•  Support employers with all on-boarding activities including employer contracts and reservation/management of funds through the Apprenticeship Service
•  Engage with the National Apprenticeship Service and other appropriate agencies such as JCP and DWP in engaging promoting apprenticeship vacancies and identifying suitable candidates
•  Provide advice and guidance to employers on a range of funded programmes, including apprenticeships, traineeships and employability programmes, identifying the solution to meet their learning, development and workforce needs
•  Raise awareness of the apprenticeship levy to employers, supporting utilisation of funding to grow the workforce and support learning and development plans
•  Facilitate the participation of the levy transfer scheme across employer networks
•  Undertake organisational needs’ analysis and work with delivery teams to develop training plans to meet employer’s needs
•  Promoting existing cohort of current apprentices to prospective employers
•  Maintain and maximise employer relationships to secure ongoing business
•  Work closely with training teams, targeting regional provision and training opportunities to build occupancy
•  Understand who the LEPs are across the regions we operate in; Communicate and work closely with BPIF Training Management Team making them aware of local and national training and employment priorities as well as industry needs and demands
•  Work with BPIF marketing teams; developing marketing campaigns and ensuring that BPIF Training have a strong social media presence
•  Build relationships with trade organisations, guilds, and other employer organisations
•  Attend industry functions such as networking events, promoting BPIF training opportunities
•  Support the monitoring of apprenticeship figures across the company, making analysis against industry trends. Market analysis and competitor monitoring, identifying new opportunities
• Provide updates and reports including forecast reports
•  Work to monthly targets based on training starts
•  To identify business development and growth areas including tender and procurement opportunities as well as employer networks
•  To be the key point of contact for large/key employers

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•  Previous experience of working for an independent training provider, delivering national skills programmes
•  Proven experience of securing SME and apprenticeship levy employer accounts within the apprenticeship training sector
•  Comprehensive understanding of apprenticeship funding, including negotiated costs and the levy
•  Experience of generating traineeship placements
•  Proven experience of developing relationships, influencing, and negotiating with employers to secure new business
•  Strong communication, presentation verbal and written skills
•  Experience of achieving targets related to apprenticeship and traineeship learner starts.
•  Excellent time management and organisational skills
•  Excellent record keeping skills, diligence to all compliance requirements
