Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day 2025

On International Women in Engineering Day 2025, we are proud to join Harrison Packaging in celebrating the achievements of women in technical and engineering roles – and in particular, one of our apprentices, Paige Long.

Paige is breaking new ground as the first female printer in Harrison Packaging’s 143-year history. Joining through the BPIF Training Programme at just 16, Paige has gone on to operate advanced technology including the LSX press and the Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 X press. She is now on track to complete her apprenticeship six months ahead of schedule – an incredible achievement at just 18 years old.

Paige’s journey is an inspiring reminder of the talent and determination apprentices bring to our industry, and of the importance of continuing to close the gender gap in engineering, print, and packaging.

We are proud to have supported Paige on her apprenticeship journey and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.
