Free Workshops for BPIF Training Apprentices
BPIF Training is excited to open up a series of free workshops exclusively for our apprentices. These enrichment sessions are designed to offer additional learning opportunities outside of the standard apprenticeship curriculum, providing valuable skills and insights that will support professional growth. Whether you are looking to improve your understanding of lean manufacturing, develop training skills, or learn the basics of print, these workshops are tailored to enhance your skill set.
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
Introduction to Lean – 6 November 2024, 10 AM – 3 PM (Online)
This workshop introduces the key principles of lean manufacturing and explores how these practices can help organisations remain competitive. You’ll learn about lean tools and processes, how to get your team on board, and ways to identify inefficiencies in the workplace. Through interactive breakout sessions and videos, you’ll gain practical knowledge of waste reduction, workplace organisation, and workflow development.
By the end of this session, apprentices will understand the fundamentals of lean manufacturing and how to apply its principles in their organisations.
Train the Trainer – 14 November 2024, 10 AM – 3 PM (Online)
Designed for those responsible for training others, this workshop focuses on the skills needed to develop and deliver effective internal training. You’ll explore topics like learning styles, emotional intelligence, learner motivation, adult learning concepts, and managing change and conflict. With a combination of interactive sessions and videos, the workshop will guide you through creating your own training plans tailored to your workplace.
By the end of this session, apprentices will be equipped to develop internal training programs that meet the needs of their organisations.
Introduction to Print – 26 November 2024, 10 AM – 3 PM (Online)
This workshop is perfect for apprentices new to the printing industry. It covers the fundamentals of print processes, paper terminology, colour, and finishing techniques. You’ll also learn how to design and prepare documents for printing, including understanding file formats, proofing, and colour correction.
By the end of this session, apprentices will have a solid grasp of the printing process, enabling them to identify the right processes for a given print project.
