Graduation and Training Awards

We are looking forward to welcoming this years Level 5 graduates and training award winners to Bridewell Hall for a celebration of their achievements throughout the last year.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday 14 October at Bridewell Hall, between 11.00 – 15.00.

The day’s presentations will include:

  • A level 5 Gradution Ceremony
  • Awards for Level 2 and 3 Apprentices, including Apprentice of the Year for both Business and Trade
  • Presentation of the Victor Watson Awards
  • Presentation of the Kathy Woodward Awards

Level 5 Graduates are required to wear robes for their presentations. For robe hire please the Ede & Ravenscroft website here.

Agenda

  • 11.00 – Arrival and welcome – Graduates will have the chance to receive their robes in preparation for the ceremony
  • 11.45 – Welcoming remarks from Ian Wilton, BPIF President and Karly Lattimore, Managing Director of Training
  • 12.00 – Guest Speaker – TBC
  • 12.15 – Apprenticeship Awards Presentation
  • 12.30 – Kathy Woodward and Victor Watson Awards Presentation
  • 13:00 – Lunch
  • 14:00 – Level 5 Graduates Presentation
  • 14:45 – Closing from Charles Jarrold, BPIF CEO
  • 15.00 – Opportunity to Network and have photos taken
  • 15.30 – Close

Apprenticeship Awards

There will be awards given for the Level 2, Level 3 and Level 5 apprentices for both the trade and business qualifications. The awards will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Progress – The distance the learner has progressed since starting their course.
  2. Resilience – How the learner has stood up to challenges and handled them.
  3. Engagement – How much the learner has engaged with their course, tutor and other learners.
  4. Positivity & Determination – The level of positivity and determination the learner has shown throughout the course.

The Victor Watson Award

The Victor Watson Trophy was launched in memory of Victor Watson CBE Dl to recognise a Young Person of Outstanding Achievement. The Award is open to any young person (under the age of 31 at the time of the presentation) employed in the printing industry. The winner will be presented with the Victor Watson Trophy and an opportunity to apply for the Printing Charity Bursary of £1,500.

The Kathy Woodward Award

The Kathy Woodward Award for Learning was launched in 2015 in memory of the BPIF’s much loved CEO who sadly passed away in 2014 – sponsored by Webmart – supports individuals in the print, packaging and graphic design industries to further their careers.

Photography

There will be an opportunity for graduates and award winners to have their photos taken which can be printed and ordered after the event.

This ceremony is invitation only. Award winners and guests will have received an email with the booking link to confirm their place.
