We’re recruiting an experienced tutor to develop print professionals through apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. The role is home-based with regular travel to employers and learners. We’re particularly interested in candidates based in the West Midlands or the Newcastle area who are willing to travel across their region.
No teaching background needed. Most of our tutors join without one and work towards it while employed — we fund the qualifications and build the study time into the role.
What you’ll do
- Deliver engaging, high-quality training in the workplace
- Coach and support apprentices through to End-Point Assessment
- Assess competence and maintain accurate learner records
- Build strong working relationships with employers
What you’ll bring
- Substantial practical experience in the printing industry
- Sound knowledge of print processes and equipment
- Coaching and mentoring ability, with strong communication skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check, which we arrange and pay for
What we offer
- £32,000 – £35,000 a year, depending on experience

This role leads BPIF Training’s commercial growth — creating and developing revenue opportunities across existing customers, new customers, new programmes and new routes to market. It works at employer and organisation level, on commercial planning and growth, rather than on recruiting individual learners.
This is not a traditional sales role. We’re moving from taking orders to a proactive, insight-led approach — and this is the role that drives it.
What you’ll do
- Own the CRM and the qualified opportunity pipeline, so every opportunity has a value, a probability, a next action and an owner
- Manage opportunities from first engagement through to a commercial commitment, then hand over to the operational team
- Build a structured account management approach across key customers, and re-engage dormant ones
- Identify and approach employers who aren’t yet working with us, using research rather than cold volume
- Work with the Managing Director and Board Adviser to test demand for new programmes before we invest in them
- Run targeted B2B campaigns designed to generate qualified employer opportunities, not just awareness
What you’ll bring
- A track record in business development, commercial growth or strategic account management
- Experience building and managing a qualified pipeline from early engagement through to conversion
- Confident use of a CRM to keep records accurate and report commercial performance
- Strong analytical skills — able to read pipeline, customer and revenue data and act on it
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, credible with senior people
- A consultative, needs-led approach, and the integrity to go with it
